HEY. So here’s the thing. We live in the future... and in the future, we still love to create and enjoy music as we have in the past. However, in this modern-day future of ours, we are increasingly exposed to a glorious thing: free music. Lots of no-questions-asked, 100% free (but not 100% legal) digital music. And yes, digital files are a fantastic thing, but over time, I’ve noticed that they all have one major flaw that requires some motherly attention...
::: You can't physically hold the artwork of digital files in the same way you can with musical mediums of the past. :::
A Symphony for Synesthesia is my musical and artistic
project formed to evade this issue, and more importantly, to revitalize interest in physical artwork despite our modern, digital tendencies. This effort is executed by designing and printing posters for each song—creating a visual representation of the abstract, and pushing the styles and aesthetics of its audible sibiling to a unique, unforseen place.
And the best part about this project? There are no labels or ‘higher-ups’ controlling A Cloud for Climbing in any way. Everything you see here—from writing to recording and mixing, from photography to illustration and design—is presented directly from my imagination to yours. As a result, every penny that you spend here goes straight back into the creation of more DIY music and art. So have some stuff, and know that only the maddest props go out to both the future and to you, you (with a wink).
